Ministry News for March 1
It is Lent:
Sundays in Lent will focus on the parts of the Sacrament of Baptism in conjunction with the Gospel. As a congregation, we will create baptismal boxes with symbols to remind us of our call and God’s love.
Mid week Worship, 7:30 PM – Making Change: Wednesday evenings are a time of evening worship with a focus on the types of changes that we make in our lives. There will be time for reflection during the service.

HOUSE CHURCH YEAR TWO:
1. Pastor Tina is still looking for hosts for Lake Hopatcong, Sparta West, & Woodport Rd to Sparta-Stanhope Road. Call/email her for information!
2. If you missed your neighborhood, you are welcome to join another.

LUNCH BUNCH FOR MARCH: Our monthly Lunch Bunch meeting will take place on Thursday, March 9 at the Irish Cottage in Franklin (that’s no blarney). Meeting time is 1 PM. Please call/text Jane Lewandowski to RSVP.

JANUARY FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
In order to meet our current financial needs, a monthly revenue from offerings, donations, and fundraising of $25,000 is needed.

Income didn’t change much – but our expenses did! This is because of a mild winter. 2016-2017 is also our first winter with natural gas and we’ve been blessed. This doesn’t mean that we are out of the woods – just that we’ve been frugal. Our ministry programs are under or not funded because of decreased revenue.
Finally, if you didn’t open your end of the year statement, you will have missed a letter from Pastor Tina about the congregation! It will be posted on the website for you to read.

We’re looking for a few good folks with some spare time to complete some indoor and outdoor projects. Come visit the office and take a look at the board. There’s something for everyone. Together, we are able to steward our facility to the best of our ability. Thanks!
