What’s happening on the hill?

It is Lent:
Sundays in Lent will focus on the parts of the Sacrament of Baptism in conjunction with the Gospel.  As a congregation, we will create baptismal boxes with symbols to remind us of our call and God’s love.

Mid week Worship, 7:30 PM – Making Change: Wednesday evenings are a time of evening worship with a focus on the types of changes that we make in our lives.  There will be time for reflection during the service.  Tonight: Seasons of Change…Please contact Pastor Tina for more information.

LUNCH BUNCH FOR MARCH:  Our monthly Lunch Bunch meeting will take place on Thursday, March 9 at the Irish Cottage in Franklin (that’s no blarney).  Meeting time is 1 PM.  Please call/text Jane Lewandowski to RSVP.

MANY HANDS, LIGHT WORK:
We’re looking for a few good folks with some spare time to complete some indoor and outdoor projects.  Come visit the office and take a look at the board. There’s something for everyone.  Together, we are able to steward our facility to the best of our ability.  Thanks!

LENT CHURCH OUTREACH: Pastor Tina approached the Nite Crafters and asked them to work on an outreach project – making sleeping mats for the homeless.  Turns out, this is a project that all of us can put our hands on! You can cut and knot the bags at home – and bring us balls of plarn that we’ll share with our crafters.  Directions are on the table in the narthex or online here. The completed mats will be taken to the VA, Sussex County Social Services, Samaritan Inn, & Family Promise.

RECYCLING AT SOTH:
Please make sure that all paper, metal, and glass are disposed of in either the paper recycling bins or the blue recycling pails.

The red dumpster in the parking lot is a paper and cardboard recycling bin.  Our ministry partner, C4C, uses the money earned to support their efforts.  All are welcome to use this – but please make sure that you only put paper or cardboard in it.
