ARE YOU POSSESSED?
According to Mark’s Gospel account, many people who observed Jesus thought he was either (a) out of his mind or (b) demon possessed. They simply could not fathom the power and depth of God’s Spirit as it was made manifest in the person and ministry of Jesus. Join Pastor Jack as he asks, “Are you possessed?” The Biblical insights may surprise…or frighten you!
MASKS STILL REQUIRED – The change in NJ’s masking requirements came in too late for Council to review at their 5/24 meeting. Any change will be announced in the near future. Temperature checks and contact tracing information cards will no longer be required as of 5/30.

CHURCH CLEANUP DAYS– Join us Sat., 6/5 & 12 at 8 a.m. to continue our clean up. Please bring tools and lots of energy. All are welcome for as long a time as you can spare.
SOTH “SPOKESPETS” – our very own Holly Hassa and Jackson Whipple, both shelter rescues, are featured on the Ecumenical Food Pantry pet food ministry poster now on display in our narthex. Please bring donations during the month of June so we can proudly support our SOTH celebrities and to help all of those in need!
GRADUATE RECOGNITION SUNDAY – Will be on 6/20. Please email email@example.com by 6/13 to have your graduate invited and recognized. Please include the name of the school and plans for the fall.
EX-GIANT LEE ROUSON – will be the special guest speaker at a Sat., June 12 rally entitled, “Who Are You Really?; a Champion’s Vision” discussing , drugs, anger, racism and identity crisis. The rally will be held from 2 – 3 p.m. at the Sussex County Mall, Harbor Freight Store parking lot at 15 Hampton House Rd., Newton. Lee recently worked as manager for the mentoring and leadership program in the Mt. Olive Twp. School District. Bring a chair and your questions for the pro football player with a message of Hope.
LOOKING FOR A SAFE FAMILY ACTIVITY? – Adopt a garden at church! Our property team, responsible for everything from broadcasting the service to keeping the building safe, could really use your help with the outside gardens. Call Pat W. (201-602-4219) to volunteer. #HATNOTHATE – Why not make a blue hat for the anti-bullying campaign of #HATNOTHATE? Hats must be handmade, at least 75% blue (any shade), and should be 16-20″ circumference. Hats need to be into church in July. Free hat patterns are available on hatnothate.org. If you need supplies, call or text Diane Fitzpatrick (973 )216-8005.
CLOTHING DONATION BIN – has arrived. Place clothing and shoes in plastic bags. Proceeds will benefit SOTH. Please do not leave items outside of the box. More details to come!

SPARTA ECUMENICAL FOOD PANTRY – Please remember that a shopping cart is located in the narthex for donations to our local food pantry. The pantry has been serving an unprecedented number of our area residents during this challenging time. Help is needed to deliver the food to the pantry. Volunteer Opportunities: More hands are needed to make light work. No prior skills necessary to help your church in these ways:
1. Bring in items for” God’s Work our Hands” organizations.
2. Serve on the church audit team.
3. Serve on Church Council.
4.. Become a Sunday worship servant.
5. Sing in the choir (post-COVID)
6. Help to run a parish activity (post-COVID)
7. Join the volunteer church office staff.
8. Organize Faith Formation opportunities by serving as the FF Superintendent.
9. Prep a meal for the Trinity Faith Kitchen.
