BAIYB…We can live in God’s wisdom

What does it mean to make the most of time? Does it mean that we should cram as much as we can into a day, hour, minute—get more done than some think is more than humanly possible and then add more to the list just for kicks? Or does it mean we should spend all our time resting in a hammock under the shade of a tree, watching the clouds float by? Actually, that sounds pretty good…but I’m certain it doesn’t fit in the category of “making the most of the time.”

Behave as if you believe…we can live in God’s wisdom means living within a balance between the chronos and kairos. For every task we complete, there is equal time spent at the Lord’s feet. But it also speaks to our focus…the unfortunate reality of our world is that sometimes there is just too much to get done. But on what are we focusing? When we allow ourselves to be consumed by the chronos…to the elimination of the kairos, we become out of balance…unwise, so to speak. This week, allow yourself recharge time…live in God’s wisdom…enjoy the gift you’ve been given from your loving Lord. Thanks be to God.
