The Roman Empire has tight control on the public lives of its people. The Sanhedrin has tight control on the religious lives of the Jewish people. And suddenly, there is a voice – calling for change.

Folks flock to hear this voice – a grizzly looking prophet who has prepared his whole life for this. Up and down the edge of the empire, they heard these words: Repent. Be baptized. Be ready.

A new peace for those who change their hearts and are ready for something better and life changing…

FY 2016 Spending Plan

On Sunday December 6, 2015, there will be a single, unity service in preparation for the Congregational Meeting to discuss the FY 2016 Spending & Revenue Plan. The schedule for that morning is as follows:

9 AM – Worship of Word & Sacrament – “The Empire Strikes Back”

10 AM – Congregational Meeting

11 AM – Congregational Potluck Brunch

All confirmed members of the Shepherd of the Hills are eligible and encouraged to attend and vote.

Casting Call: Live at the Nativity

All children are invited to be a part of the annual Christmas Paegant on December 12 at 6:30 PM. Rehearsals are Fri 12/4 and Mon 12/7 at 7 PM. Dress rehearsal on Fri 12/11 at 6:30 PM. There is still room for angels, shepherds, wise folks, and Mary & Joseph. Call the office or sign up on Sunday.

The annual presentation of Live! at the Nativity will take place on Saturday December 12, 2016 at 6:30 PM in the Sanctuary. Join the youth, the animals, & the rest of the gang as we retell the story of how God loved the world to send Jesus – the save the world.

Planning Ahead
Tuesday December 22 is the next night to prepare a meal for the Trinity Faith Kitchen in Dover. We meet in the kitchen at 6 PM.
