Law & Life – This Changes Everything

Choose Life!  That was Moses’ message to the Israelites as he shared with him his final thoughts before he died and they walked into the Promised Land.  Choose Life – choose God and all of God’s gifts to you.  An important message to this group of folks who have only known travel and sand.

In the same way, Jesus is instructing the disciples that choosing to follow the law is more than NOT hurting or harming folks.  Choosing life is taking the law and kicking it up a notch  – to do more than the law prescribes, to offer the best of who you are to God’s beloved ones…just as God chose to love us beyond measure, to send Jesus to die for us, and to continue to be a part of our world.  Chose life, indeed!
