END OF YEAR GIVING: The end of the fiscal year is rapidly approaching.  If you intend to give a year end donation, please have then to the office by Friday, December 30, 2016.  Thanks for your attention to this deadline.
MARTIN LUTHER IN NYC: The Morgan Library & Museum in NYC currently is exhibiting artwork & artifacts of Luther from the 16th century.  We taking a field trip into the city on Wednesday, December 28.  We will take the 10:06 train from DOVER to PENN STATION ($15.10/one way or $7.10 for seniors) and return via the 2:25 PM train which gets us back to Dover at 4:10 PM. Admission at the museum is $20 Adults/$13 Seniors (65 and over) and may be purchased online in advance.  Interested?  Contact Pastor Tina 973-729-7010 or pastor@sothnj.org.

OFFICE COVERAGE: During the months of December & January, we are in need of folks who have time to answer the phone and do light office work.  The hours are 9 AM – 1 PM, Monday through Wednesday.  Please email or call Pastor Tina if you have time to share.  We will begin our search for a new office secretary in the new year.

FIRST FRIDAY: All 6-9th graders are invited to First Friday on January 6, 2017.  We’ll start at 6 PM by preparing a hot meal and sandwiches for the Trinity Faith Kitchen and then we will break into fun & games.  Bring a loaf of sandwich bread and make sure to have a permission slip on file for you and a friend!

BAPTISM REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY: On Sunday, January 8, we remember the baptism of Jesus in worship.  We also remember our own baptisms as we affirm the promises we have made.  AND…we invite those who were baptized in 2016 to return and receive their banners.  It’s a wet and wild day, because baptism changes everything!  Join us as we celebrate and remember.

It’s the first Sunday back at our ‘normal’ schedule with worship at 8 AM, 10:15 AM, & 6 PM.  First Formation is at 9 AM.  See you all in worship & online.

ECUMENICAL PRAYER CYCLE:  The Ecumenical Prayer Cycle enables us to journey in prayer through every region of the world and through every week of the year affirming our solidarity with Christians all over the world, brothers and sisters living in diverse situations, experiencing diverse problems and sharing diverse gifts.  This week – December 31-January 7, we join in prayer for Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine.  You can click on the link to find out more about these countries or visit www.oikoumene.org.
