Risky Business of Faith: Abram & Sarai

It’s a new month and a new sermon series theme.  Risky Business of Faith might stir memories of a 1980s movie – but that’s not where we’re headed! God calls to folks (then and now) and asks them to be faithful – as God is faithful to them.  Completely. Extravagantly. Always.

We start this series with Abram & Sarai (I’m using their Hebrew names here as they are used in the text). God has called Abram from his home, promised him a great nation, and stood with Abram through a series of unfortunate events.  But Abram is concerned and so God visits Abram in a dream.

What God asked of Abram & Sarai is hard to fathom – even today.  Yet, they did it – and through them, a great nation, a holy nation was born.  Their example for us reminds us that when God makes a promise, God keeps that promise – which is comfort and grace in our times of unrest and change.

This Sunday, we begin our evening worship service at 6 PM.  Help spread the word.
Please join us for worship at 9 AM or 6 PM.  We will  pray, worship, & share a meal of grace.

Whoever you are and wherever you find yourself in your journey, know that you are most welcome here.

Blessings,
Pastor Tina
