What does Palm Sunday mean to you?  A festive parade in Jerusalem long ago?  A church “give-away” day, like cap day at the stadium? The last opportunity for Easter shopping? Join Pastor Jack this Sunday as he focuses on the true meaning of Palm Sunday:  Our Lord Jesus was willing to ride headlong into his own death…a sacrificial death on the cross to save the world from sin and the devil! don’t miss his powerful message this Sunday.

HOLY WEEK SERVICES are scheduled for Maundy Thursday on 4/14/22 and a Good Friday Tenebrae Service on 4/15/22.  Both services are at 8 p.m.

WORK DAY is  scheduled for Sat., April 16 at 8:00 a.m. Please come help prepare our church for upcoming events and Easter. Many hands make light work!

EASTER BRUNCH is coming back on April 17! – Please check the sign up sheet on the narthex table to register and indicate what you would like to contribute to the meal and if you will help set up or clean up. Thank you to the DiCola’s for leading this event.

PET FOOD COLLECTION – bin is in the narthex until the end of April. Please pick up some cat or dog food to share with patrons of the Sparta Community Food Pantry.

BLOOD DRIVE is scheduled for Thursday, April 28 from 1-7 PM.

FISH N CHIPS DINNER – was a great success and resulted in an approximate profit of $2,000.00. Many thanks to Judi Wolff and her crew of volunteers and Kathy Schwab for the excellent publicity.

EASTER EGG HUNT –  many thanks to JD Allen for leading this event and for the many volunteers.

SUNDAY SCHOOL – is back in session, and its never too late to join in the fun!  Many thanks to Nancy Wood and her staff as well as the parents who support them.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED – CONTROL ROOM HELP, OFFICE VOLUNTEERS, COFFEE HOUR HOSTS, FINANCIAL COUNTERS, PHOTOGRAPHERS, DEACONS AND USHERS are all needed. Training joyfully provided. If someone calls to recruit you, please prayerfully consider how YOU can serve.  You can always volunteer by contacting the office.

NEED YARN? -Marty Nielson has graciously offered Barbara’s stash for anyone’s use. Currently, the yarn is in the room between the office and Pastor’s office.  He will replenish the supply as needed. You are welcome to it. We will be collecting handmade blue hats for #Hat Not Hate again this year. Faith Kitchen does not accept any clothing.
