Sunday of Palms & Passion
Passover is about to begin and you can feel excitement in the air. Folks are streaming into Jerusalem for this feast. And so does Jesus, with folks shouting, “Hosanna!”
But excitement gives way to something more urgent, more perplexing. The one who was praised is now despised and rejected. How did this happen? What has this man done?
This man did what he came to do. And God did what God always does – keeps God’s promises.
Join us as we retell this story of faith, grace, and love. We will have a special activity for our young people while we read the Passion Gospel at the 10:15 worship service.
Whoever you are and wherever you find yourself on your faith journey, know that you are most welcome here.
We worship on Sundays at 8 & 10:15 AM. Faith Formation will meet at 9:15 where we will talk continue our learning about prophets.
Blessings,
Pastor Tina

Easter Flowers: the list for purchasing Easter flowers in memory or honor of loves ones has been put out at church. Available this year are Easter Lilies, Daffodils, Tulips, & Hyacinths. Each pot of flowers is $10 and can be picked up after worship.
Save the Date: Saturday March 19 from 8:30 AM-12:30 PM > Holy Week Clean-up. We hope to have many hands help to spruce up the outside entrances and the sanctuary prior to Holy Week. There are projects for all hands and abilities. See you there.
Sunday of Palm & Passion 10:15 AM Music: We’ve got some great music forMarch 20 in the queue and thought we’d share some links to help learn the sounds! Our processional song at 10:15 is Hosanna by Michael W. Smith. The hymn of the day is The Wondrous Cross by Chris Tomlin.
Save the Date 2.0: In lieu of an Easter Egg Hunt, there will be an Inter-generational Spring Tea on Saturday April 23 from 3-5 PM. Mothers and sons, dads and daughters, Grandparents & grandkids – however it works for your family to spend time with each other. There will activities and of course, ‘high’ tea – and we hope that we are able to host this event outside. We are asking for a donation of $5/person who attends.
We are in need of small metal coffee cans for one of the activities, preferable with the lids. These can be dropped off in the resource room. Our goal is 50.
Ecumenical Prayer Cycle: We join with Christians around the world praying for our brothers and sisters in joy and concern. For March 20- March 26, we pray for Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam . Learn more about these countries when you click on the link, which will direct you to the World Council of Churches website.
Don’t Forget: The mission of the church depends on you. Last week Pastor asked the congregation to commit one more gift to giving. This doesn’t mean money and its not something we will track.
The giving happens because of God’s love for us and our inability to keep that love for ourselves.
For those of you who were not in church, please pray about the gifts of grace, gratitude, gathered into Christ and generosity that you have received. Pray about how you will share them. And then with God’s help, live that prayer.
