Pastoral Care & You

Many of you know that due to federal privacy laws, pastors& churches are not automatically notified if you are in hospital for any reason. This makes its hard for the pastor and the congregation to surround you with prayer and support.

If you find yourself in the hospital, please call Pastor Tina (or ask the hospital chaplain to call) so that you can be included in prayer. Pastor Tina will also visit you if you so desire. There isn’t a hospital too far that she won’t travel to if you need spiritual care.

OKTOBERFEST: Our third Oktoberfest is 3 days away! The pig goes on the spit early so come by and watch it roast! We will open the doors at 4 PM on Saturday, October 1. Tickets are available at church – or get them at the door. There will also be a 50/50 raffle! Please share the news with your friends and neighbors. All proceeds will help our Thanksgiving Outreach!

3rd Year Confirmation Lock-in: In preparation for their Affirmation of Baptism, the four third year students will get together on October 14 – 15 for fun and faith and an interview with Pastor Tina. Please keep them in your prayers! Confirmation will be celebrated on Sunday October 30, 2016 at the 10:15 worship service.

Lunch Bunch: October’s Lunch Bunch will take place on Thursday, October 27 at 1 PM. This month, the bunch is headed to the Black Forest Inn, 249 Route 206, Stanhope, NJ. Contact Jane Lewandowski for more information.

Ecumenical Prayer Cycle: We join with Christians around the world praying for our brothers and sisters in joy and concern. For October 2-October 8, we pray for Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine.
