Sunday Evening Worship

SPARTA, N.J. – July 25, 2016– Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church announces the addition of a Sunday evening worship to their worship schedule beginning Sunday August 7, 2016 at 6 pm. Worship will be held in the Sanctuary.

“It is not easy for everyone who wishes to worship in a faith community on Sunday morning,” stated Pastor Tina Reyes.  “In today’s world, folks are working or visiting family in other places. Providing worship at this time gives folks an opportunity to hear the Word and to be in community.”

This time of worship is open to all – whoever they are and wherever they are on their faith journey. The service is expected to last about 45 minutes with prayer, word, and holy communion. Shepherd of the Hills practices an ‘open table’, which means all that wish to share in the meal of holy communion are welcome.

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.  All are welcome to worship, grow, and serve with us as we proclaim God’s love & grace to all people.  The community is also invited to our fellowship events in the fall and the spring.
