We’ve Come This Far By Faith This Sunday, we’re celebrating our 60th anniversary as a congregation!   “Doing church” is hard work isn’t it?  There are committee meetings, and Council meetings, and work days, and planning sessions, and volunteers to recruit.  It can be quite wearisome if we think it’s all about OUR labors.  In this Sunday’s message, Pastor Jack will remind us that “it’s not all about us”…we are propelled by God’s Holy Spirit… it is the Spirit sent from God which provides fortification and endurance… and that Spirit has sustained us in a powerful way.  You’ll be inspired by this week’s sermon, “We’ve Come This Far By Faith”.  Don’t miss it!

CHURCH WORK DAY – Sat., Sept. 14 at 8 a.m. Many hands are needed to help get our church and grounds ready for the 60th Anniversary celebration and Rally Day on 9/15. See Pat Wood.

60th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION & RALLY DAY – Sun., Sept. 15 – Celebration Worship at 9 a.m., Sunday School kick off at 9:15 a.m. and brunch and activities following the service. Worshippers are encouraged to “retro dress”as if it were 1964! Think jackets and ties for the men and dresses and hats for the women! Please sign up in the narthex so that we have an accurate number of attendees.

BACK TO SUNDAY SCHOOL NIGHT – Mon. Sept. 16 – 7-8 p.m. Parents of children ages 4 – grade 8 are invited.

BAKE SALE – Sun., Sept. 22 to support Adrian Appelbaum’s Eagle Scout Project to purchase an AED and three first aid kits for the ed. wing.

CHILI COOK OFF & LINE DANCING – Sat., Sept. 28 –Cook off: 4:30-6 p.m. Line Dancing – 6-9 p.m. ($12. Entrance fee, cash only) Please sign up in the narthex and come join the fun!

BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS – Sat., Oct. 5 – 10 a.m.

FALL VENDOR & CRAFT FAIR -Sat., Oct. 26- 10-3 p.m.

COFFEE HOUR HOSTS NEEDED – Please sign up in the parish hall and see MaryAnn DiCola with any questions.

EVENING BIBLE STUDY – In person at SOTH, the first and third Mondays at 6 PM. All are welcome.

BROWN BAG BIBLE STUDY 
Continues in person at Holy Trinity Church or via Zoom, the first and third Wednesdays from noon-12:45. Join Pastor Jack for a lively discussion of the Bible. No prior experience necessary! Click here to join us via Zoom.
