“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth, break forth into joyous song and sing praises.” Psalm 98:4
The presence of music is important in Lutheran worship. It is the time for the assembly to respond to the Word and the Meal. This is done through psalms, hymns and choir anthems. There are also times when a soloist or an instrumental group may share its talents as part of the assembly.
Shepherd of the Hills is a community that welcomes and encourages musical worship. The musical style varies as do the people of God. We are blessed to have folks who are willing to sing the ‘good old hymns’ and to learn the latest in liturgical music.
If singing is your passion, we invite you to join the Shepherd of the Hill choir. The choir rehearses on Sunday mornings after church. Contact Ronn Sacchiero, the music director of SOTH, for more information.
If you play an instrument and wish to share that passion with us, Ronn Sacchiero is also your contact.
