BAIYB…We Live in God’s Abundance

How do you define abundance?  Our culture is oriented toward accumulation and often we can hardly see beyond it.  It’s a defense against not having enough.

Behaving as if we believe that we line in God’s abundance means that what we have comes from something more lasting than anything here on earth.  It means turning from scarcity and fear and opening our arms to that which is far more than we can ask.

As this week’s theme suggests, we are abundantly blessed with good things. We have the gift of a building to shelter and feed folks – from support groups to dinners.  We have the gifts of each other – diverse and united as God’s body.  There is much to celebrate.

Our theme for the upcoming program year is “Digging Deep Roots of Faith”.  We move forward and grow because we are rooted in God’s grace through word, prayer, worship, & sharing.  I’m excited to start another year of learning together.  More information will be heading your way – electronically as well as through mailings.

No matter where you are in your journey of faith…know that you are most welcome here.
