Live Like Christ
Live Like Christ…
During September, our worship has focused on who we are as Christians and how we share that with others. And in this focus, we’ve seen how God has demonstrated God’s love, forgiveness, generosity and grace. This final Sunday is where it all gets put together – living out God’s will in relationship to one another.
Each of this day’s readings shows us this reality. In the parable of the two sons, Jesus invites us to choose between two sons when neither fully does the will of their father. In Philippians, we are reminded of Jesus’ act of grace on the cross, and that through God, we are enabled to and actually do live out God’s good purposes.
As people of God, together in Christ, forgiveness, generosity, and grace are important hallmarks as we endeavor to lead Christ-like lives – even when it takes a few starts. Within the readings and the liturgy, we pray that God teaches us truth, compassion, and faithful love to all who we meet and in whatever we do.
Please join us – in person or online on our Facebook page, Twitter account (spartapastor) or website (www.sothnj.org). You are all beloved (and forgiven) people of God.
Peace and blessings,
Pastor Tina +
