Grace and peace to you from God, the creator, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

This week, Jesus is surrounded by folks who are yearning for his message and his power.  He looks up at his disciples and pronounces a series of blessings on those who are marginalizes and woes on those who have more than enough.

It’s a familiar text. Yet, I’m often at a loss what to do or think beyond the reading. (Yes – sometimes I wrestle with a particular text more than others and yes – its usually a familiar one). I’ve also been thinking about community – and what that means to my family in Puerto Rico and what that means for folks here in NW New Jersey.  What if – this text is meant to help us be a community that lives, works, and shares all things together?

Beloved, know that whoever you are and wherever you are on your faith journey, that you are most welcome and invited and in this space.

In peace,
Pastor Tina +
