Christmas Continues

The lead up to December 24 & 25 is just the beginning of the Christmas season in the church (seriously).  What starts with the birth continues through January 5 – the twelfth day. Through this past week, we’ve remembered disciples of the church and the execution of young children as ordered by Herod (not so silent or sweet), and the flight to Egypt for safety. And in the coming week, we’ll remember Jesus’ first visit to the Temple for his naming. Just in time for Epiphany! (It’s a busy 12 days).
This Sunday, as we pause from dinners and visits, we will revisit the whole story through spoken and sung word at the 8 & 10:15 AM worship services.  Lessons and Carols is a great service – new and old carols, familiar scripture, & community. You are also invited to come in your jammies but don’t feel obligated. Faith Formation is still on break until next Sunday.  The announcements for this week are linked below.

Please keep the Financial Team & the Office in your prayers as we roll over into a new management system this week.  There will always be bugs and kinks…and we hope to be moving efficiently by Lent (March).  The team is excited for this opportunity to make the operation more efficient and easier to use.

The office will be closed on January 1 for New Year’s Day. PT will be in on Monday to clean her office.
I pray that as you end this calendar year, you are able to remember the love God has for you.

Beloved, know that whoever you are and wherever you find yourselves in your faith journey, that you are welcome and invited into our community.
In joy,
Pastor Tina +
