Fourth Sunday in Advent – 12-18-2022

A long time ago, an ordinary carpenter named Joseph was sleeping, when a dream changed his life…and the dream changed the course of history…forever.  In the dream, an angel announced that Joseph’s role would suddenly transform.  Joseph was about to become the earthly guardian of the Messiah.  How’s THAT for a role change?  And what about you?…are you prepared for role changes in your life?  Can you address these changes with God’s help?  Join Pastor Jack this Sunday for his message, “What is YOUR role?”  Discover God’s powerful Spirit which will enable you to rise to any occasion placed before you.

GIFTS FOR PASTOR AND R. SACCHIERO– As in past years, if you wish to contribute to a monetary gift expressing your gratitude, please see JD Allen, Council President, or send your contributions to the church office clearly labeled “holiday gift”. The deadline for a donation is January 1, 2023.

On Sun., Dec. 18 at 4 PM the NJ Conservatory Symphonic Chorus accompanied by its Baroque Orchestra performs at SOTH. NJ Conservatory presents Handel’s Messiah. Call 973-402-2004 for tickets. Prices: $45, $40, $35. Student discount 30%. No children under 8 years old.

CHRISTMAS EVE WORSHIP SERVICES will be on Sat., Dec. 24 at 7and 8:30 PM. Worship servants are needed for both services. Please call the office to volunteer.
