Grace and peace to you from God, the creator, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

It is the last Sunday before the liturgical season of Lent.  In the Lutheran church, we pause in our story of Jesus’ ministry to head up the mountain with Jesus, Peter, James, and John.  It is while Jesus is praying that the disciples are shown another vision of Jesus.  It is this moment where the story begins it’s journey toward Jerusalem and death.

And so we learn just how important the next part of our worship journey will be. We put away the “alleluias” at the end of worship.  We are gathered into Jesus’ arms as teaching and mentoring continue. We look ahead to the cross – to the pain of torture and the promise of God’s love for God’s creation.

Ash Wednesday Worship: Wednesday, March 6,  12 PM & 7:30 PM – Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion at both services. Music at 7:30 PM

Beloved, know that whoever you are and wherever you are on your faith journey, that you are most welcome and invited and in this space.

In peace,
Pastor Tina +
