Welcome to our new interim pastor, Rev. Dr. Jack DiMatteo!

This has been a tough week. We are still fighting the effects that the health
pandemic has had on our society and our individual lives. Unfortunately, we are
also fighting about the injustice that occurred in Minneapolis as it plays out on
our nation’s streets.

This week’s Zoom service will begin with an opportunity to meet Pastor Jack DiMatteo, our new  interim pastor, who will then address the situation in Minneapolis in a special message. After reviewing his video, we will continue the service from our worship bulletin with our scheduled deacon and reader.  During the service, Pastor Jack’s pre-recorded sermon based on Holy Trinity Week will be shared.

In the video, Pastor Jack is in the children’s nursery room at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church teaching us about that Holy Trinity – a topic that he equates to teaching nuclear physics to a two-year-old child in the nursery. But somehow, he leaves us with an understanding of the Holy Trinity that took centuries of debate to get settled. At the conclusion of our service, please stay on and greet one another in our virtual coffee hour.

Whoever you are, and wherever you find yourself, know that God loves you.  God won’t forget you because you are God’s.  God is always with you.  And you are most welcome and invited here.
