Joy! Joy! Rejoice!

This week we proclaim ‘Joy’.  The candle we light this week is pink – a break from the somber blue and heavy anticipation of the season.  We rejoice that God has kept God’s promises – and we rejoice that this season of waiting is getting shorter.

The idea of joy comes out through our readings from Isaiah and John – the joyful redemption of folks living in exile as well as the joy that John shares – he’s getting the people ready for the Messiah.  There is joy in looking forward to the coming of the One who will save us – and this joy heightens our anticipation – especially as so many other things around us are fractured and strained.

Join us as we await in joy for the coming of Christ.

Pastor Tina

We Welcome.

Thank you…for your prayers, discernment, and trust as we met and voted to approve the Spending Plan for 2015. The business of the church isn’t always the most glamorous part of church but it is an important part of declaring who we are as we use our first fruits.

Please continue to pray for the church council as we vision the next six months and search to fill open council positions.

Live! at the Nativity…debuts this Saturday, September 13 at 6 PM.  The youth are excited to share the story of Jesus’ birth through word and song (and some furry animals).  This is our gift to you and the community.

Please note that this year, there will only be ‘one show’ followed by a great time of fellowship.  This show will last about 45 minutes.

We Equip.
