Keeping in Touch While Staying Apart

Grace and peace to all of your as we venture in this journey together.

First – thanks to those who joined us via Zoom yesterday and those who worshiped at home.  I pray that your time in the Word brought peace and hope.  The news is still changing rapidly and the CDC has now advised that we not meet for 8 weeks.  Whenever we come together again, we will celebrate and rejoice!

Second – I’ve set up a time on Zoom each night for a time of evening prayer and check-in.  The instructions will be at the bottom of the page.  I’ll include the liturgy to this email as well as share it via video.  If you know you’ll be online, and would like to help lead the service, let me know!

Third – Giving to the church.  Here’s what we sent a few days ago in the protocols:

  1. Please continue to give offering. When this is over, we still want to have a church. We support mission and ministry in the United States and the world through our giving in addition to providing salaries for staff and the upkeep of our facility.
  2. Offering can be dropped off, sent through electronic fund transfer via Vanco (through online portal  or text (enter the dollar amount to phone number 973-832-0226 ), mailed to the office, or you can request your bank to send a check.

This is vital to the ongoing mission of the church. I just had a report that giving via text is easier than getting logged into Zoom.

I think that’s it for now.  I’ll update as needed and look forward to seeing you all later this evening for evening prayer.

In peace and hope
