The King is here – now what?
The event we anticipated arrived on Thursday. We heralded and praised God for promises kept and for Word made Flesh. But the season of Christmas is NOT over!
In fact, it has just begun – with growing and learning and introspection of how God comes into our worlds and breaks apart our prisons and fears – walking with us through tough times of change and loss – rejoicing with us in love and holding us in comfort when we hurt.
There are many Christmas stories that we don’t hear after December 25 – of Simeon and Anna, of Herod’s jealousy and infanticide, of God’s protection for the young family and their flight to Egypt, and oh yeah – the visit from the Magi.
God is good all the time. All the time, God is good.
Blessed Christmas
