Risky Business of Faith: Jeremiah

Risky Business of Faith might stir memories of a 1980s movie – but that’s not where we’re headed! God calls to folks (then and now) and asks them to be faithful – as God is faithful to them. Completely. Extravagantly. Always.

This week, our risky business encounters Jeremiah – a prophet who encountered the people of Israel before, during, and after the siege, exile, & return of folks to Jerusalem. And as a prophet, speaking the truth is scary, terrifying, and life threatening.

And that’s the risky part of faith here on earth. The truth disrupts what we consider to be normal everyday living. The truth that Jeremiah had to tell the folks was that they had gone away from God, there would be hard times, and that God would never forget them. (And if you’re thinking that this is the same message you hear in church – you’re right – we’re still learning)

Please join us for worship at 9 AM or 6 PM (that’s right – a Sunday night worship service). We will pray, worship, & share a meal of grace.

Whoever you are and wherever you find yourself in your journey, know that you are most welcome here.

Blessings,
Pastor Tina
