The Three Days & the Resurrection
As Holy Week continues, we enter into a time known as the Triduum, or Three Days. These days remember the mandate to serve others, the institution of communion, Jesus’ arrest & trial, and the Crucifixion. The Three Days – which is literally one three day worship service – ends with Easter Vigil on Saturday evening – the first service of Easter.
Alleluia! He is Risen! Death has lost its sting! We have been redeemed!
Early that first day, Mary and others went to embalm Jesus and found the tomb empty. “Do not be afraid. Rise up. Go tell the others to go to Galilee.” They heard this message twice. No more fear. Go – tell. Go – see Jesus. Don’t keep the message but share it. Don’t fear death for you have been reborn.
Alleluia!

We humble ask that you let us know what your donation will be so that we can fill in the gaps. Amy Mateja is the coordinator for this activity. Please contact her to indicate your contribution or hands to set up, serve, or clean up.
We Need You…
for a spring indoor/outdoor cleanup! Saturday April 18 beginning at 8:30 until we are too tired – we will shape up the outdoor property and fine tune the inside. There are projects for all skill and age levels. Please bring your hammers, paint brushes, rakes, chain saws, and pruners.
2014 Lent Mission Outreach:
God’s Global Barnyard
This year, we are reaching farther with our good gifts for those in underdeveloped places. We are buying two family farms (each $715) which will be given through the ELCA Good Gifts Program.
Whether you add change to a barn bank or donate in the big silo, your contribution to this project helps to end hunger, provide economic stability, and empowers families to thrive.
We are collecting change and other monetary donations through Easter Sunday (April 20).
First Communion Preparation – Spring Edition:
Twice a year, classes are held for our fourth grade students to prepare to receive communion. This is a 5 four session class, which includes a lock-in, for the youth and their parents. If you have a child in fourth grade or feel that your child is ready to receive communion instruction, please contact Denise Roberts. The first class will begin on Monday May 5 at 6:30 PM.
With praise and thanksgiving,
Pastor Tina 🙂
