What Grabs Your Attention?

Grace and peace, Beloved, from the Earth-Maker, Pain-Bearer, & Life Sustainer.  Amen.

Announcements for June 28

You know how you eat something before you go food shopping so you can get down that cookie aisle without filling your cart? Well, you might want to eat something before listening to Pastor Jack’s sermon this week because it is all about cravings.  And it’s not just about those cravings for Norwegian pancakes and bratwurst grilled in beer and onions! It turns out that cravings are nothing new, having been written about in this week’s scripture lesson as St. Paul focuses on sinful cravings when he says “Do not let sin exercise dominion in your mortal bodies, to make you obey their passions.”

We are excited to invite everyone to meet or reconnect with Interim Pastor Jack DiMatteo as we return to in church worship on Sunday, July 5 at 9 a.m. Next week’s email will highlight all of the changes to worship necessary to keep everyone safe during this pandemic.  It will be wonderful to see each other again, have communion, and worship as one community! Every effort will be made to live stream the service so that anyone unable to attend can still worship.

The recording of this Sunday’s Zoom service will be available for viewing later on Sunday on the SOTH YouTube channel and on our Facebook page.   If you are comfortable with the tech, you and your family can also go to Jack DiMatteo’s YouTube channel (https://tinyurl.com/ybe6ytap) on your smart TV and watch the sermons in the comfort of your living room.

Sunday, July 5, at  9 a.m.
